Plaster & Spray — Acoustic Material Guide
Acoustic plaster and spray-applied cellulose systems achieve high absorption (NRC 0.70-0.80) while maintaining a seamless, monolithic surface finish. Acoustic plaster is trowel-applied over a perforated substrate with mineral wool backing. Spray cellulose conforms to curved and irregular surfaces. Both are ideal for heritage restoration, retail, and design-led projects where visible panels are undesirable.

Installation Notes
Acoustic plaster systems require a perforated or slotted metal substrate and mineral wool backing. Application should be performed by certified installers to ensure uniform thickness and acoustic consistency. Spray cellulose can be applied directly to concrete, metal deck, or plasterboard substrates.
Typical thickness: 15-50mm (applied layer)
